Apparel : Hand-Painted Jeans

Hand-Painted Jeans : RangRage

I recently came across a very interesting brand which offers some very creative hand-painted stuff. They have apparel, handbags and a wide variety of home decor accessories. What really caught my attention was their hand-painted jeans, I had never seen something of this kind.

RangRage is on a mission to inspire aesthetics in our eating, drinking, sleeping, clothing and pretty much everything. They want to infuse art in all things and make them affordable and usable.

Each of their product comes with the detailed story of the artist who painted it and how many hours it took to complete it. Once a design spills out of an artist’s mind, it will not be replicated. You possess something you never had, and nobody will ever have. It will have a unique signature that won’t be forged. What you own shall tell a grand tale!

Decor : Photobooths and Props

Gone are the days when scrumptious food was the single most important factor tempting us to attend a wedding or any other party. Enchanting decor comes on the same place now as it reflects a lot about the personality of the host and also about how much time and thought has been given to make the event a memorable one for the guests.

A quirky trend which has caught our attention is – photobooths and props. It is an economic, easy and super fun method to increase the experimental quotient of your party and it also acts as an icebreaker for guests to mingle as nobody behaves like a sophisticated diva near the photobooth.

For those with a creative flair, these props are very easy to make and can be a great “DIY” project. This especially applies to all my army girlies, do use this fun concept for your next mess party/ladies meet.

It is only the memories which are left after the days pass by, so why not to create them in the most fun and sassy manner possible.

Here are certain DIY photobooths which just need a board, chalk and yes loads of your creativity 🙂 –

Celebrating Mother’s Day :)

Mother’s Day- A celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. Do note that it is “Mother’s day” (singular possessive) and not “Mothers day”, for each family to honor its own mother, not a plural possessive commemorating all mothers in the world. Celebrated on the “second Sunday” of May, It is just a small token of appreciation for what our mothers have done for us.

She traded sleep for dark circles, salon haircuts for pony tails, long baths for quick showers, late nights for early mornings, designer bags for school bags and she would not change a thing. They call themselves mothers and they do not care about what they gave up and instead “love” is what we get in return. That is what being a “mother” is all about.

It is the beauty and care of a mother’s love that transforms a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly, which is ready to set sail into the world. The importance and worth of a mother is difficult to be expressed in words as she is the strong pillar who holds the family together in times of distress. She is the portrait of love, care, concern, forgiveness and a lot more emotions that are bundled up together in this divine form of mother.

Here is how i did some small things to make my mother smile on this day. Do tell us how did you celebrate this special day!

Brand Review : Krafted with Happiness

I recently ordered some stuff from a shopping portal called “Krafted with Happiness” and decided to share my experience with you. I came to know about the site through Facebook and i was super happy to see the “pom-pom scarf” in their collection ,which i was looking for from a long time. I keep browsing through lots of such shopping portals for style ideas but what enticed me into ordering from this site was super affordable pricing and unconventional designs.

After placing the order, i received a confirmation call from the site about my order. I had placed a “cashon delivery” order for which they charge additional 40 bucks per item. The package arrived within two days of placing the order and was in perfect condition.

I had ordered for a “pom-pom parade scarf”(price – 399 rupees)  and a “majestic mandala ring”(price -399 rupees). They also give you a discount coupon for first time order. Both the products met my expectations and i am planning to order some other drool-worthy stuff soon.

The brand offers a panoply of accessories, footwear, bags etc all having an Indo-contemporary vibe. One more appealing factor is the hassle-free shopping experience on their user-friendly website. And unlike certain labels which do not allow you to return accessories, this portal allows you to return a product if it does not meet your expectations. I also liked the way they have given eccentric names to each of their products, which definitely lends a unique charm.

Travel : Cafe Robusta, Jaipur

Cafe Robusta – A Journey of 3 Comrades

A brief about the owners –

Neelam, Pratibha and Anurag – 3 friends who studied at the same school in Jaipur. Neelam and Anurag studied in the same class and Pratibha is Neelam’s younger sister. They chose 3 different career paths- Neelam opted for law and later on started working as a legal advisor with a firm in Udaipur,  Anurag opted for engineering and went to Narsee Monjee, Mumbai and Pratibha studied in Jaipur.

They were not in touch from 7 years but destiny brought them together again. Neelam left her job to pursue higher studies and so did Anurag. That’s when the idea of “Cafe Robusta” was born with Neelam being the driving force who convinced Anurag and Pratibha to join the bandwagon. The idea became reality on 24th Nov 2016 when the cafe opened its doors.

Why the name – “Robusta” ?

Well, the trio loves coffee. Robusta refers to the name of a coffee bean which has its origin in Africa. Robusta beans produce a strong, full-bodied coffee with a distinctive, earthy flavour and are used primarily for instant coffee.

Fighting the Odds

The trio braved many difficulties for turning their imagination into reality. Initially, the families were completely against the idea of doing something so unconventional especially in the case of Neelam and Pratibha. But this didn’t dampen their spirits, they kept working on their idea covertly till it was all ready for launch. Pratibha and Neelam’s Brother and Sister-in-law supported them unabashedly.

Tackling the logistics

Having no family support, the trio had limited resources. But one thing they had in abundance was tons of creativity. The interiors are all done up by Pratibha, Neelam and Anurag with great help from Pratibha’s friend Simran. They even learnt cooking to ensure that they are well versed with what’s being offered to their customers.

What’s on the Menu

Some lip-smacking delicacies like – honey chilly potato, garlic bread, a huge variety of pizzas, pastas and sandwiches. You also get to munch on some yummy paranthas which are not available in every other cafe in Town.

For Drinks they have a large array of mock-tails, smoothies, shakes and of course tea and coffee.

What makes them Unique

Given the number of cafes in Jaipur, It is very important to have a USP which sets you apart from the crowd. In my opinion, What makes “Cafe Robusta” really unique is the dedication of its owners. They are always present to monitor things and assist, even cooking in certain instances to help their staff.
